Internet Connectivity Solutions

We do not directly provide any Internet connectivity services, however we do provie a complete solution through partnerships with well known Internet Service Providers. We base our recommendations on the reliability, practicality & competitiveness of the offers - and we continually scan the market for better offers.

At present we exclusively sell and recommend the services of Exetel & TPG Internet. Through our partnerships we're able to offer technical support services for customer signups we process, in addition to the Internet company. Since we stock a complete range of networking hardware, it only makes sense that we have the capability to perform a complete support solution by having customers sign on our competitive partnership offers.

General Information

Why buy our recommendations?

Currently we are an authorized agent for Exetel & TPG. We try to carry at least 2 competitive ISPs with good reputations at any given time to better serve our customers. We base our recommendations on the reliability, practicality & competitiveness of the offers - and we continually scan the market for better offers. We recommend customers willing to research Broadband services check out Broadband Choice which demonstrates the competitive offerings of Exetel & TPG.

We're able to assist with ISP & plan selection, installation of the customers equipment, and provide limited free support to customers we have signed to an ISP from our agency application forms. Please contact us today for Broadband Internet solutions!

Currently Exetel is our preferred ISP, who receives the bulk of our referrals.

ADSL or HSPA?

3G HSPA Wireless is suitable for those with low download usage, customers with notebooks who require a portable connection, customers new to the Internet, customers migrating from Dialup or customers in regional areas. If you exceed more than 5GB of transfer (both upload & download) per month, you are best suited to an ADSL package which delivers more quota and only counts data downloaded.

ADSL2

In short ADSL2 is not available in most areas in the Blue Mountains. Yes indeed, TPG ADSL2 is available in Blaxland and Glenbrook - however this is most suited to those living in Blaxland only (line distance affects quality). This is the only ADSL2 service in the area that I will recommend.

Telstra have ADSL2 on a number of exchanges in the Blue Mountains area, however I strongly encourage that customers do not sign up to this service. The costs of Telstra ADSL2 is simply too expensive, even when purchased from a reseller. You can obtain two 8mbit ADSL1 services at a similar cost, with more generous transfer quotas (requires two phone lines and some equipment). There doesn't seem to be much point having a fast Internet connection if you're unable to use it due to low download limits.

VoIP

Voice over Internet Protocol is becoming highly popular, and with the ever increasing amounts of Internet bandwidth and power of computer hardware, is becoming more and more reliable. VoIP can significantly reduce your telephone call costs since there is no such thing as STD rates - calls to fixed lines within Australia are charged at an untimed rate.

Many Internet Service Providers now provide a VoIP service in addition to Internet connections, as well.

Backup Broadband Connections

Is a working Internet connection important to you? We recommend customers who require an Internet connection at all times invest in a 3G HSPA Wireless service in addition to an ADSL service. This way the customer can use the wireless service in the event of any outage.

Regional Broadband

Do you live in the Megalong Valley, Bell or Hartley? Or some other location where you cannot get conventional broadband products?

We have alot of experience with broadband in the bush services and have a number of options available. The services available depends largely on your location, so we recommend you contact us so we can assess which services are available to you

Dialup Internet

We strongly recommend users sign up to a broadband service instead of using dialup Internet, as it is much faster and costs less.

Phone/Internet/Mobile Bundles

We discourage phone bundles of any kind as typically at least one product offered is not competitive on price. You can often make a saving by sourcing your communication services from several suppliers who can deliver packages suited to your needs.

Telstra Bigpond

I cannot emphasize strongly enough that all customers should avoid Telstra Bigpond. I've listed my reasons below. To be fair, the only reason to sign up with Bigpond would be to receive their exclusive sports coverage (video service).
